Gundalian Invaders Brawler Game Pack Review

Brawler Game Pack is a Bakugan Box Set with five random Bakugan that usually retails for around 30 USD. They are commonly available in the Philippines through Toy Kingdom or Toys R'Us outlets.

The Brawler Game Pack depicted in this entry is a Gundalian Invaders Brawler Game Pack with Hawktor in its box art. The Gundalian Invaders Brawler Game Pack contains the following:

3 Metal Gate Cards

10 Ability Cards (5 kinds in 10 different languages)

One each of Red and Green Ability Cards

One Blue Ability Card with instruction for the Super Assault Bakugan

Two Battle Gear Ability Cards

Black-and-white Rule sheets (which I did not bothered to open)

Five Bakugan Battle Pieces

- 2 Normal Bakugan: (Opaque) Pyrus Rubanoid and Aquos Lythirius
- 1 Super Assault Bakugan: Subterra Merlix
- 2 Battle Gears: Silver Battle Crusher and Copper Chompixx

Normally, one would think that buying Brawler Game Packs could save them a good amount of grub. Simply because 2 Normal Bakugan would cost 600 PHP, 1 Super Assault Bakugan would cost 400 PHP and 2 Battle Gears would cost 800 PHP. That's a total of 1800 PHP compared to a 1100 PHP Brawler Game Pack.

However, for someone like me who collects Battle Gears and Bakugan in their correct attributes as shown in the anime, buying a Brawler Game Pack is not reasonable IF it will only have one or two pieces in the right attribute color.

In this Brawler Game Pack, it is very fortunate that four out of five are in the right attribute and/or color. However;

I already have an Aquos Lythirius
The Lythirius from the BakuBoost which I obtained last August is 100Gs higher than the Lythirius from this Brawler Game Pack.

Rubanoid is translucent in the anime. This is what I would call correct attribute but wrong coloration.

Merlix is either a Haos or Subterra Bakugan in the anime but he's more prominently a Haos.

However, it is unknown if a Haos Merlix exists in real life.

I rolled "750 G" which is the highest!

You can also use the G Power Dice for Zoobles so that you can brawl for the lulz.

So why exactly did I bought this Brawler Game Pack?
It's because of the Silver Battle Crusher for my Haos Aranaut that I obtained in a BakuTriad
much earlier.

I will review "Fabia's Combat Set" on a separate entry so just standby for now, Aranaut. :3

Now, as for the other Battle Gear which is a Copper Chompixx...how utterly disappointing.

But like every Otaku always say ~ beggars can't be choosers so I shelled out a bit of extra cash (earlier) to buy a Silver Chompixx for my Subterra Sabator.

Conclusion
Brawler Game Packs are worth-it for the budget-conscious kids who happened to get a good amount of gift money from their folks. However, for those with OCDs (like me), it's not really a good idea especially if you have a target amount to spend to complete all the Combat Sets (There's 22 of them in case you're wondering).
